Founder Jackelyn Velches was working as a full-time administrative staff member, program coordinator, and sign language interpreter for the Deaf at LINK Center. Her life changed when TESDA approved her as an interpreter for a deaf student enrolled in a baking class.
Inspired by the experience, Jackelyn decided to complete the course herself and earned her TESDA baking certification. What started as curiosity soon turned into a serious passion. Soon after, her husband Mark Velches joined her in building what would eventually become Vee’s Sweets, a growing home-based cake and pasalubong business in the Philippines.

Rather than abandoning their identity, Jackelyn and Mark made a strategic decision—they removed the additional word “Bakeshop” from the registration and retained the name Vee’s Sweets.
